Jaftex 85th Anniversary Blog Hop and Giveaway Celebration - Day Nine!

Welcome to Day Nine of the Jaftex 85th Anniversary Blog Hop!
We are celebrating in style today,
Fusion-Illusion Style that is!
A bundle for you, and a bundle for me!
This bundle is courtesy of Blank Quilting!

Working with these fabrics was such a treat!
I began by pulling a wintertime palette from my bundle..
As I selected the colors, flowering Christmas Cactus came to mind. (I seem to be on a non-stop Christmas fling this year!!) The pattern I went with is a duplicate of my Summer Gathering quilt...
And here it is!

"Winter in Bloom", 58" Square

Machine pieced with 900 squares and more than 200 Half-Square Triangles.

20 HST's were sewn from each color used..
My favorite marking tool for this method..
Silvery text background fabric: 'Crystal Palace' by Studioe!
I LOVE these fabrics!
Cross-hatch quilting on the background..
Quilter's Dream Wool Batting gives a fluffy texture.

'Stacked Back' - pieced with leftover Illusion fabrics..
Machine-bound with 'Season's Elegance' by Studioe
..and a custom label for the finishing touch!
Thank you so much for visiting!

This project has been one of my greatest blogging pleasures - I hope you have enjoyed the stop!

To enter the drawing for the FQ Bundle of Fusion Illusion:

Please leave a comment on this post prior to September 30th, at midnight - Vegas time!

I live in Southern Nevada, where most summer days are over 100 degrees in temperature, and many of those reach over 110 degrees...
However, I am blogging all month from inland Alaska, (Copper River Valley)! The wintertime temps here average 0 degrees, and dip down in the -40's on a fairly regular basis!

My questions is: If you had to choose, in which of these locations would you choose to reside?

Follow the hop all month for more inspiration and prizes at all the stops!

  4. Nevada! Alaska is beautiful but their winters are too long! I love your quilt and the fabric bundle!

  5. Your quilt is gorgeous, Heidi! And the name is so suited to the design.... and the fabrics. Beautiful!

  6. The colors in that pack certainly would brighten a winter day! As a thirty plus year resident of Minnesota I'd be willing to live in Nevada for a change!

  7. We have had a horrible grey wet summer on Scotland, I long for some warmth and sunshine?
I love your bright and cheerful Quilt. Uplifting.

  9. So beautiful, amazing what HSTs can do. It is a great layout with spectacular quilting.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I live in northern Wisconsin so I've had my share of -30 degrees! So I'd choose Las Vegas - there's always air conditioning!

    ReplyDelete
  11. WOW! Your quilt is amazing! Thank you for the giveaway. I would choose Nevada. The heat wouldn't bother me but the cold would.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Oh so pretty. As for your question, gotta go with warm in NV

    ReplyDelete
  13. Beautiful quilt - love it! I've been to Alaska and it certainly is beautiful - I guess with -40 degrees it would keep me inside and give me more time to quilt! But then again I do prefer the hotter weather - soooooo I guess I'd have to spend summers in Alaska and winters in Nevada!! Thanks so much for the chance to win :)

  14. I would choose southwest Florida for the winter, Minnesota for the summer.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It would have to be Alaska. It may get cold, but in the summer your aren't going to roast. I live in the midwest where each day is a different kind of day.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I love that quilt and all that cross hatching reallly sets it off. The colors are beautiful. I sure would not like to live in Alaska that is way to cold for my bones .I would rather have the heat of Nevada

    ReplyDelete
  17. Your quilt is fabulous! I would choose Nevada as I don't like cold weather. Also, there are wonderful quilt shops there. carolann427@aol.com

  18. I'm not a fan of 110* or -40*. If I had to pick it would be Nevada, I couldn't bundle up enough for Alaska's cold weather! Love the fabric colors!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I would pick Michigan but i know that's not the answer..lol....Well i live in Maine and i really hate it blazing hot so Alaska it is.......But i think you have the best in both places in mind....Love the quilt would be coolif you threw in instructions to patten with the fabric bundle,,,happyness04431@yahoo.com

    ReplyDelete
  22. Nevada, for sure! Alaska sounds way too cold for me. Thanks for the chance to win that beautiful fabric! Ronda (phonygal@msn.com)

    ReplyDelete
  23. I would choose Nevada. I lived in the Canadian Arctic for 20 years and loved it. However, my bones now prefer heat. Plus I really really want to see the desert in bloom. Great quilting.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Have to be Nevada - not a huge fan of the heat, but, oh that cold----------- I'd never make it!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Having spent a lot of time in the desert (Indio, CA), I'd choose Alaska--and then be constantly worried about keeping everyone from freezing in the subzero temperatures. I mean, literally freezing. No exaggeration needed up there, right? Thanks for the giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Alaska would be beautiful, but I'll take the heat of Nevada any day!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Definitely Alaska! Love stacked idea for back of quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Grew up in Utah so I'd take southern Nevada. Not so different weather or landscape wise. Your quilt is beautiful

    ReplyDelete
  29. I prefer cold to heat any day, so Alaska it is! Maybe it's because I'm from northern MN, but I really don't like the heat. I would really like to see Alaska some day.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think the design of your quilt is spectacular! If I had to choose it would be the heat! I grew up in Wyoming and also lived in North Dakota for 5 years and would not want to face the blizards, below zero wind blowing 20 mph ever again. Thanks for sharing your quilt and having the chance at winning these wonderful fabrics. brend_ack@yahoo.com

  31. As long as there were central air and quilting to be done, I could handle the Nevada heat. It's the long periods of darkness that I couldn't handle that one gets in Alaska in the wintertime that would kill me. I get those seasonal depression issues and sometimes there isn't enough Vitamin D to help quell the voices in my head!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Alaska- in a heartbeat. In 24 years, I've never had my air conditioning on all summer until this summer. It was super hot in Oregon.
Quilts look lovely - I like the stacked backside.
    Thanks for the giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Beautiful quilt! I would choose heat over cold any day. I don't even like Alabama winters!! Thanks for the giveaway!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. No thanks, I am happy where God put me in Indiana…we have a collection of both, but not the extremes.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Based solely on temps I would choose Alaska- I am a major grump in the heat! However, all that winter darkness might do me in as well! Love the quilt- Sarah: crjandsbj(at)netzero(dot)com

  38. Where I live in Canada we are used to cold temperatures like that over the winter. I have the best outdoor wear that keeps me cozy warm.... Plus we have a wood stove and you can't beat that heat!!! Your quilt is gorgeous!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would have to choose Alaska... I can't function in heat!
Your quilt is beautiful! Thank you.

  40. I lived in Alaska for 2 years....love the summers but would have to go with Nevada as I would rather be hot than cold.
    rjoehnk@txwinet.com

  41. I too would choose Alaska, having lived in both Fairbanks and Delta Junction in my teens. As I age, I find it harder and harder to deal with high humidity. I also crave mountains, trees taller than the house I live in, and four seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I would choose Nevada! I live in Florida, so the heat doesn't bother me that much. I do not like the cold, though.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I would definately choose Nevada!!! I lived in Nevada for 10 years, then moved to Oregon. Talk about climate change!! :) Love the coast.

  45. AK all the way, every day! Love your quilt-so attractive. Thank you for a chance at a great win.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I would definitely choose Alaska!! I grew up in New England and don't mind the cold. I've lived in Texas the last 5 with temperatures like where you are in Nevada and I must say I still don't mind the cold!! LOL! It's taken a bit to get used to here - I like the differences from New England, but I am still homesick. So I'd follow you to Alaska anyday! Thanks for the chance to win such a great bundle - you really did a great job with your quilt!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Summer is my least favorite season so I would be heading north to Alaska. But those temperatures sure sound cold! Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  48. My pick is Alaska. I enjoy the cold. Your quilt is lovely. Thank you for the inspiration.

  54. Love the quilting on your Winter In Bloom quilt! Tough choice between Alaska and Nevada but I would have to pick Nevada....easier for my fabric shipments :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. 900 pieces!!! I am so glad someone has the patience. It is beautiful though! As for Alaska? I processed crab out of Dutch Harbor for a couple years. Cooooooold!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Gorgeous! Wow! Amazed! I so long to be as good one day! I would have to choose Alaska, as it is beautiful and I can not breathe in the heat of summers in Georgia so I couldn't begin to imagine the ones in Nevada!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Definitly Nevada. I would rather be hot then cold!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I would choose Alaska. I would not be able to stand that heat in Nevada. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Wow, your quilt is amazing! As for your question, that's a tough one. I'd love to visit Alaska but I don't know that I could stay long term. So I'd pick Nevada, good air conditioning required!

    ReplyDelete
  60. My favorite quilt shop is Sew Divine in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Thanks!

Please click on the delaineelliott above for my email link.

    ReplyDelete
  61. That's a hard question - I guess Nevada with air conditioning! Tho Copper River looks gorgeous. I love your quilt - it really showcases the fabric.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Living in Wyoming, we often see temps in the -30's. I think I'd like to try the other extreme for a change :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. I would love to live in Alaska. I don't mind the colder temps, and since I quilt, I know how to keep warm! Thanks for the great design.

    ReplyDelete
  64. The heat makes me insane. I already endure Canadian winters, so I'd go with Alaska. Probably wouldn't be much different from here. annesimonot@sasktel.net

  65. I would chose Nevada. I am definitely more a sun person than a cold one!
    Iain.ross30 at gmail dot com

  67. I think I would prefer the heat. It's almost always too cool here in the SF bay area where I live!
    nancy.sumner@comcast.net

    ReplyDelete
  68. Probably the Southern Nevada but I hate both extreme heat and cold. They are hard on my ashtma.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I would have to choose Nevada. (As long as I had access to AC. I wouldn't mind Alaska if I could go during their summer season. = barbaramartin403@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'm not great in either extreme of temperature but the cold makes me pretty miserable so I'd have to say Nevada I think!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Would choose Alaska for a couple of years..fantastic frontier! I have always wanted to explore it.

    ReplyDelete
  72. This comment has been removed by the author.

  73. I would choose Nevada. Why? Well, the heat is bad, I grant you. . . but not as bad as the cold in Alaska; and, I've never had to shovel the heat!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Reminds me of a colorful snowflake. Love the visual impact of your quilting. Would never that thought to use the grid. I live in a place with moderate climate, although I must admit that this summer it got up into the 90's which was too hot for me. But if I had to choose between very hot and cold, I'd choose Alaska.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I would choose Alaska. You could always add more layers to keep warm but taking it all off is not an option.
    Beautiful quilt & quilting.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Tough choice! But since I HATE being cold (I'm from the Chicago area), I would have to choose Nevada. Otherwise, I'd never leave my home and just have quilts piled on me in Alaska!

Really love your quilt and the beautiful cross hatch quilting.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Neither ,I don't like the cold or the hot. But I bet both places are beautiful. I'm from Kentucky and we've had an extremely hot September. Not liking it at all.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I do think I would rather live in Alaska. Favorite quilt shop maybe Quilt Therapy in La Grande, OR.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I could not hand the heat of Nevada, but then I couldn't handle the cold of Alaska in the winter. So I guess that's why God put me in N. Louisiana. It gets pretty hot some days, but it doesn't usually last long. In 2011 we went 63 days with 3 digits, and it was miserable, but at least it's not like that every summer.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Alaska any day. Went there last year and would love to live there

    ReplyDelete
  81. I think I would winter in Arizona and summer in Alaska and get the best of both. I think my home in Kansas is plenty hot enough and I grew up in Minnesota so I have been accustomed to the cold temps.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Gorgeous quilt!!

I find it easier to warm up than cool down - has to be Alaska.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I live in Texas so I would choose Alaska! I'm soo tired of the heat.
    mabay1981@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  84. After having lived in northern B.C. for many years and loving it I would choose Alaska. We have visited in the Yukon and loved every minute of it. I would not do well at all in southern heat.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I would chose Alaska. Cold days, no reason to go outside, lots of time to stay inside and quilt all winter long. Winter in Bloom is lovely!

    lin.web.28 at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hmmmm.....I really don't like being cold, so I'd probably choose Southern Nevada myself! Be fun to visit Alaska though! Thanks for the chance! Stunning finish!

    ReplyDelete
  87. I lived in Alaska for 3 years (Army brat, Dad stationed there) and really enjoyed it; would love to visit again. But I don't think I could deal with the cold winters now, so I'd prefer Southern Nevada. Your quilt is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing & thanks for the chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I would choose Alaska, cooler weather, even cold is better for me than hot.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Your quilt is fabulous and I love the text print. I've always wanted to go to Alaska, so that is where I would pick (I like summer, just not 100 degrees). Thank you for the chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I would go to Alaska. I don't like extremely cold weather, but I think the wildlife would make it a lot more bearable than Nevada (pun intended).

    ReplyDelete
  91. Alaska is my choice. I'm in the middle of a heat wave in the northeast and can't wait for the temps to drop. I love your quilt. It's beautifully finished, and the cactus on the label is a sweet touch.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I would pick Alaska because you can snuggle under your quilts. I live in Kansas and we get the extremes of both Alaska and Nevada. I love how fresh the colors look against the silvery background in your quilt! Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Alaska for sure! We went to Alaska for our honeymoon and spent a few days in Cordova and even ate Cooper River salmon. We loved it there, and I would love to go back. Plus all those cold nights leave a lot of time for quilting!

    ReplyDelete
  94. I would choose Nevada because after living in the Midwest all my life, I no longer like the cold weather or the snow. Love the design and the quilting on your quilt. I never tried Quilter's Dream Wool Batting, but I'm going to try it on my next quilt. Love the puffiness it gave to your quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I love your quilt and the quilting! Hmmm, hot or cold? I think I'll choose Alaska -- only if I can stay in a nice warm home. =) Thanks for the giveaway, which I would love to win!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Boy, that is a tough question! I don't really like either extreme, as far as weather goes. If I had to choose, I guess it would be Nevada. Your quilt is stunning!

    ReplyDelete
  97. darrkrystal@gmail.comSeptember 9, 2015 at 4:52 PM

I live in Victoria BC Canada.....I would choose Alaska....there aren't as many people there so there would be fewer quilting interruptions....your Cactus Blooms quilt is awesome.....would love to make one.....

    ReplyDelete
  98. I can take the heat better than the ice

    ReplyDelete
  99. love your quilt. if i had to pick, i would choose alaska but further west, along the coast skagway or ketchican.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I would choose Alaska. I live in Syracuse, New York where we have very long, cold, snowy winters. It's what I know. I love your beautiful quilt!

    ReplyDelete
  101. I guess I'd go with Henderson: my sister lives in Las Vegas, so I'd love to be that close!! :-) LOVE your quilt: so lovely!!! Hugs, H in Healdsburg

    ReplyDelete
  102. Hmm...don't think it would be Alaska! Although, I would like to visit there. Cold weather is not my friend! Your quilt is beautiful. I love anything with stars.

    ReplyDelete
  103. It would be Nevada. I lived in the Canadian Arctic for 20 years and loved it, however, my bones prefer heat:) Plus I would love to see the desert in bloom.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I would love to live in Alaska! I am not a fan of the heat, but at least when it's cold you can put on a sweater and snuggle up in a quilt. You can only take so much off. I live in NY and we get a few weeks of heat in the summer and a few weeks of single digit temps in the winter, but the rest of the time it is just wonderful. Your quilt is beautiful and I love the modern flair!! rosesabeyatyahoodotcom

    ReplyDelete
  105. Winter in Bloom is a stunner! I can feel your happiness in your writing!
I would have to pick Nevada to reside in, mostly because of the lack of sunny hours in Alaska during the winters. I get SAD and need my sunshine!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Alaska would be a possibility...as long as I had warm Woodburner & Fuzzy Fleece tops & Quilts too!! LOL But in all reality...I know I would go with Nevada....love sunshine & warm...even hot!

Your Quilt is Soooo Awesome!!! Beautiful job!!! and quilted on your Juki? Wowie!! I want to learn FMQ...only small practice pieces so far...and have only done Straight-line stitch quilting ever, so far. lol

    ReplyDelete
  107. I would pick cold. You can always add another layer. I have done 115, you can't take enough layers off and it is very easy to get dehydrated.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Alaska! We've visited 2 times and returning and seeing the "lights" is at the top of my bucket list!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Oh, Alaska for sure. Heat wipes me out but cold invigorates me!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Absolutely wonderful quilt! I'm from MN, so I could probably handle the Alaskan winters much better than the Nevada summers.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I have lived in Nevada so I would choose beautiful Alaska. Gorgeous quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I would choose Alaska. The winter temperatures seem similar to the area where I currently live...and I just want to stay in and quilt anyway!

    ReplyDelete
  113. I really don't want to live in either one but I would take Nevada. I had 25 years of Chicago, that's enough cold for the rest of my life. At least in Nevada it's cool at night.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I get very cold very easily, so I'd pick Nevada.
jen dot barnard at btinternet dot com

    ReplyDelete
  115. I always wanted to visit Alaska but would rather live in Nevada since have lived in FL and South TX so I am use to the heat. But more than the cold the dark days would bother me more. Love ur quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Your quilt is fantastic! I would choose Alaska. It may be very very cold in the winter, but it is also very very beautiful all year round.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I would definitely choose Alaska, I have always been fascinated by it. mtmom57@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  118. It would definitely be Southern Nevada. I live in Central Florida, where my husband and I moved 13 years ago to get away from the snow, cold and ice of the Midwest winters!

    ReplyDelete
  119. I would choose Alaska! I do not like hot weather!

    ReplyDelete
  120. I think I'd pick Alaska for it's beauty, but I'm not sure how long I'd last at those temperatures.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I think I'd pick Alaska for it's beauty, but I'm not sure how long I'd last at those temperatures.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Nevada I guess - never could stand the cold.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Oh, that's a hard one to answer - I don't like extreme temps in either direction. So, I guess I'd have to choose simply based on scenery, and for that I find Alaska much more appealing.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Wow from one extreme to the other! I'd probably like Alaska better - not a fan of air conditioning but love to snuggle under blankets. And I need trees. Nevada isn't known for its trees ;) cold weather is better for Quilting too! Plus I've never been to Alaska yet.
    Your quilt is pulchritudinous

    ReplyDelete
  125. Definite extremes but I don't do well in those hot temps so it would have to be Alaska. Your quilt is unbelievably GORGEOUS!

    ReplyDelete
  126. I would do Nevada in a heartbeat! We have visited both states--they are beautiful in their own ways, but I could not take the extended darkness in Alaska. I like going outside without the heavy boots/jacket, and even though Alaska has wonderful summers, you don't shovel snow in Nevada. But you didn't say you had to stay there during the harshness of the seasons, so you could have a vacation home in both, with a nice quilting room!

    ReplyDelete
  127. I hate being cold and I'm southern California born and raised so.... Nevada, for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  128. I'd rather strip down from the heat then be cold.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Love your quilt. I would definitely choose Alaska. You can always add more layers, etc., to get warm but once you're hot it's hard to cool down.

    ReplyDelete
  130. give me Nevada any day, I hate the cold!

    ReplyDelete
  131. I'm a MN girl, so Alaska is closer to what I'm used to! :)

    ReplyDelete
  132. Thanks for the lovely quilt. I choose Alaska!

    ReplyDelete
  133. I'd choose Alaska. Those long winters would be hard though!

    ReplyDelete
  134. Isn't your quilt lovely. Alaska over Nevada

    ReplyDelete
  135. Can we split the year? I live in Southern Utah (Cedar City) and I try really hard not to be in Vegas during the daytime in the summer. But then again, my husband would really struggle with the cold and the dark, mostly the dark of Alaskan winters. But I love the scenery in Alaska, not so much Nevada. But a daughter lives in Kingman, only an hour away from Vegas. But I love Alaskan summers. Probably Nevada. Sigh. Love your quilt though. Thanks.

  138. I would have to pick Alaska too. Although being so hot outside is just as good excuse to stay inside and sew more. Thank you for a great giveaway.

  139. I love the cross hatch quilting. I don't like anything too hot or too cold. But I think I would pick Alaska. I love the mountains.

  142. Beautiful quilt! And a lot of work. I would choose to live in Nevada -- assuming I had AC. Alaska is just too far away from the rest of America.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Tough choice, I'd probably go with Nevada since I like to garden.

  144. Nevada sounds like a wonderful place to live.

    LOVE YOUR QUILT!!!! AND FUSIONS!!!!!!

  146. That is a tough question, but I think I'd pick Alaska, hoping for nice weather the other seasons, and a chance to quilt when its really cold. Plus I'm from MN so am used to some really cold weather in the winter.

    ReplyDelete
  147. I've been to Nevada, but never Alaska! Hope you are having a great trip! I would choose Nevada- it's closer to where Donny and Marie perform at the Flamingo. Thanks for blogging from Alaska.

  148. Since I have always dreamed of living in Alaska, I guess my answer is Alaska... I want to take a winter and stay up there, just to see if I could handle it, but have no idea where I could stay... anyone got any ideas as to where a person could crop a stop for the winter, and share chores and home stuff, and sew all winter long?? That is a dream... maybe someday.

  149. I almost forgot, I wish you would explain how you mark your fabric, as I found it quite intriguing... and I think your quilt is quite rad... love it very much!

  161. I would have to choose Nevada, only because I don't like the idea of long periods of dark in Alaska. I would prefer a beach, but Nevada is at least close to a few!

    ReplyDelete
  166. Wow, what extremes! I afraid the heat would be my favorite. If I get cold I just can't get warm until summer. Loved the quilt!

  170. OMG if I had to choose? I would definitely go to Alaska!! It seems like an amazing state, so beautiful and so much different than what we are used to. I've lived in many states, NY, MA, KY SC and now TX (not much snow here) btw I love your pattern!! It caught my eye and pushed me to join in on this blog hop.

  176. Heidi your quilt turned out spectacular! it really does capture the look of Christmas Cactus!

Locale? Can we choose summers in Alaska and the rest of the year in Nevada? LOL Hope you aren't shivering your bloomers off. Our friends up there just posted pictures of snow.

  179. Very nice quilt design, Heidi! I like that you chose a portion of the colors that looked like winter. I think I would choose Alaska over Nevada, but now that I'm a new grandma, Nevada would be closer to my granddaughter!

  183. Interesting question. I have lived in the Sunshine State for almost my whole life. So warmer temps are a norm for me. I would love to "visit" Alaska, but don't think I would enjoy the cold weather. Even though I've been to Nevada once before, I know the heat is drier so I would choose Nevada.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Living in Texas, I would have to choose living in the heat. These old bones do not tolerate the cold anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  185. I would have a hard time with the heat, but couldn't face that kind of cold, so Nevada for me.

    ReplyDelete
  186. I would have to live in Alaska, I wouldn't be able to take the Nevada heat.
Your quilt is terrific, love the colors.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Southern Nevada...I have to admit I love the heat but not that much. But there is ways of beating the heat- running around in sprinklers....air conditioning, showers, air conditioning....did I mention ac? Alaska....hard to stay warm...can't stand freezing my toes. But would not mind visiting Alaska for a period of time.

I love your quilt! Christmas inspired is such a fun way to go....I am excited for it this year!
