Cascadia Complete!

As predicted, January has been a busy month - I chose Binding Cascadia as a very realistic goal, and it is time to link my finish with A lovely Year of Finishes. The pink stripe is machine finished, and the green ends are hand-finished, after carefully wrapping around the pink and securing with teeny stitches!

I chose a breezy day for photographing..
We are enjoying an unusually rainy day in Vegas today, and since I have no crib or cutesy backdrop, I'm quite happy to share these pics!  Since the photo session, it has been rolled up for storage, to eliminate the fold creases. These will do, though I  had thought better photos would be snapped for Friday Linkups:

I owe a big THANK YOU to Kathy who informed me yesterday that my blogger settings had changed, requiring CAPTCHA to any friendly folks who tried to leave a comment here! The same thing had happened to her, and she encouraged those using the Blogger platform to check their sites, as well as informing us how to resolve it - without headaches! Thank you Kathy, you provide such Kwilty Pleasure and I love following you!

  2. I love the pastels. And the quilting. Do you use a walking foot or do free motion? I like designs like yours but my FMQ straight lines are not straight, and there is a lot of turning with a walking foot.

  4. HI Heidi....2 questions....one...how do you fix the CAPTCHA thing? and 2....wow oh wow, those straight lines quilting are fabulous! Makes the quilt have such dimension! How'd you deal with all the thread ends when changing direction so much? That is something I am learning to deal with now so I can do more designing in the FMQ'ing department! Thanks!

  5. I really like how you have the pink stripes on the sides and green on the top/bottom for the binding. (and, hmmm.... I'll have to see about that CAPTCHA thing - wondered why so many folks were suddenly using it)
