My adventures took me tropical, and a couple of fairly bright blocks resulted!
This next one represents the shoreline at dusk
That's two more Kite Tails! finished: 12 total now. July will be time to decide if I want to continue to make these slant in the same direction, or if I want to make the next 12 swing to the left.
I also finished another Courthouse block!
Ms. Henny is running from the waves rushing in, one of my favorite beach activities.
Although I love each of the six blocks I have completed so far, I am not sure I like how they look together. I will need to consider setting options when I have a couple more to play with.
This week I have planned a bit of blogger-catch-up and I am really looking forward to the time visiting!
Linking up today with:
Having a bright sunny day kite string and an end of day one is a very clever and colorful idea. I've never seen this pattern before, looks pretty easy. Love Ms. Henny rushing from the waves as we did as children. Glad to meet you at RSC16.
ReplyDeleteI really like this color combo and think they'll look wonderful together. Ms. Henny is the icing on the cake. She really does look like she's running away from the waves. Well done!
ReplyDeleteLove those kite tails. My latest favorite colors :)
ReplyDeleteAqua and lime is one of my favorite color combinations. So I LOVE these blocks. Thanks for sharing them with Oh Scrap!

ReplyDeleteI love the colors in this quilt. Beautiful fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThe colours in these blocks are lovely. I like the way you are using them. Good luck with sorting out a way to use them.
ReplyDeleteBlues and greens together are so soothing. I absolutely love the little chicken running away from the incoming wave in the court house block :)
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are so fresh and clean feeling - here it is hot and muggy so those cool colors look very inviting!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in your blocks. My stash was absolutely devoid of any of those shades. Sounds like a shopping trip is needed.
ReplyDeleteHeidi, these colors are so fantabulous together! They do make me drool. :) Thanks for sharing them at my link-up. :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks!
ReplyDeleteLove the chicken and waves analogy. The beach colrs are soothing.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beachy blocks. I love the fussy cut hen!
ReplyDeleteOh Heidi, scrolling back to see if MAYBE with the time change I could link my OMG finish up, nope, waaah, I came across this post, and have to say how much I love your colours and those kite tail blocks! Sadly I didn't do either of my two ongoing scrap projects for June (but I will catch up) because I was so immersed in the Henry Glass challenge. Hope to get caught up this weekend!
