Brown was more fun than I thought it would be!
Adding bits of pink makes it all so delicious looking..
Did you see the little heart I threw in? It is February after all ;)
The method I am using for these blocks leaves quite a bit of extra, so I am making border strips as I go. Not sure yet how I will use them, perhaps a double-border?
I made my Courthouse Step Block too. The fever-fog has not completely departed from my brain though - somehow I pieced it all together before noticing my mistake! I would like to see how it looks with more blocks. I think I will want to keep the lights and darks separate, but I can fix it later if it bothers me...
I also completed my RSC Dahlia Dot for my Quilty365 project.
It's located under my Chinese New Year dot.
I hope the year of the Red Monkey is a good one!
With that, I have packed up my brown scraps while I work toward February Goals!
Have a Scrap-Happy Saturday, and a wonderful weekend everyone!!
Love the little heart. What a cute little detail!
ReplyDeleteThese look awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute heart. Brown isn't my favourite so I don't have enough in my stash to participate... I love how you incorporated other colours into your quilt - it's lovely. (and would be an excellent way to stretch out the stash.)
ReplyDeletelove your 'heart' what a neat surprise and one you will always remember!!
ReplyDeleteI am working on some paper pieced stars and a butterfly in the blue/purple group from January to catch up--
love and laughter, di
The little heart is perfect! Lots of scrappy fun in the rest of your blocks.
ReplyDeleteThe little heart was a cute touch. Your circles are cute. Didn't know it was the year of the red monkey. I might have to add that to my circles too!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you pointed out the heart 'cause I totally missed it! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHow delightful! That heart just adds a touch of whimsy. Lots of good projects on the go.
ReplyDeleteThe heart is such a sweet touch!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look great! Honestly, I didn't notice the problem with the courthouse block until you mentioned the light/dark issue and then I still had to look carefully.
ReplyDeleteJust love the addition of your little heart block!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the layout of your blue and brown blocks! They are going to become an amazing quilt!
ReplyDeleteLooks great. Love that heart.
ReplyDeleteAt first glimpse I thought: oh no, mistake, lol. Fun detail! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great design!
ReplyDeleteJust darling, Heidi!
ReplyDeleteThe whole set of blocks together looks delicious (think blueberries, plums as well as chocolate and candy hearts).
