This weekend, I did maybe 10% of the total area and feel pretty comfortable with them now. Here is one of the smaller squares - definitely not perfect, but getting better...
I plan to use the seamlines to quilt patterns in the four central, larger squares, and will work on those next as I want to quilt the inner areas before the outer parts 'stiffen' up. Not sure this quilt will be complete by the end of the month, but I am shootin for the Stars!

Gorgeous quilt! I love that quilting design, and use it quite often. I often have a hard time deciding what to quilt too.
ReplyDeleteThe Seafoam Swirls are perfect & enhance the straight line designes in the stars & visa versa. Looks like bubbles surrounding the swirls...its wonderful. Can't believe how the quilting adds so much to the whole quilt. Love it!

ReplyDeleteI just got one of Angela's books and I am quite excited to try out some of her techniques. I have some straight line quilting lined up though for two of my quilts in progress, so I will need to find some kind of little free motion project in between.
ReplyDeleteYour swirls look really lovely, and this will be an amazing quilt!
Beautiful project, your quilting is lovely!

ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty! Your FMQ looks good, can't wait to see this one all done.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilting. I find deciding what to quilt harder than the actual quilting. It takes me ages to decide
